Jimmy Choo Fashion Academy

On Saturday 23Rd February 2024 I will be popping up at the Jimmy Choo Fashion Academy at Boston Manor Park in Brentford, west London.  A sustainability event for both fashion and accessories will be taking place: and there will be fashion designers showcasing their designs, alongside jewellery and accessories, including jewellery collections made by me.

As well as a designer showcase there will be a fabulous clothes swap taking place with the evolving wardrobe.  Tickets for the clothes swap can be booked on Eventbrite.

Visitors who attend the event can also take part in a stitching workshop, where you will be able to learn beautiful stitching techniques to enable you to repair your favourite clothes and ensure their longevity.

Sustainability

The theme of the event is sustainability and highlights ethical practices within both the fashion and jewellery industries.  We can do so much to reduce waste within the fashion industry and those who make jewellery can develop a practice which includes using recycled materials and sourcing gemstones from companies with green policies and fairtrade gemstones.  As well as using precious metals from either Fairtrade or Fairmined mines.  There are many other aspects to consider when setting up an ethical jewellery business.

The venue is at Boston Manor Park which is a beautiful park in the borough of Hounslow.  The JCA building is next to Boston Manor House, a stunning building which has recently been renovated.  There are two cafes in the park, one called the Potting Shed and the other is housed at Boston Manor House.
